RaceMetrics Rating

Performance rating that tracks form over time. 1500 is average, 1550+ is high, 1600+ is elite. Ratings adjust based on results vs expected performance.

Overview Tab

Summary statistics, performance chart, and breakdown tables. Use the chart dropdown to switch views:

Rating - Performance rating with overall avg + moving average
P/L - Rolling profit/loss to £1 stakes with avg line
Win Rate - Rolling win % with overall avg line
PRB - % of rivals beaten with 50% baseline + avg

Rolling windows adjust automatically based on run count. Chart auto-switches to P/L when filters are active.

Breakdown Tab

Detailed performance splits by various factors. Click column headers to sort. Look for high strike rates with positive ROI.

P/L Analysis

Profit/Loss tracking based on £1 level stakes to BSP. Shows cumulative P/L chart and breakdown by price range.

+£25.50 Profit -£12.30 Loss

Patterns Tab

AI-detected profitable angles based on your current filters. Save patterns to match against future racecards.

Trip Tab Enterprise

Horse profiles only. Surfaces a horse's optimal trip — preferred going (per surface), distance, class and field size with confidence levels and a form trend.

Going by surface: Turf goings (Soft, Good, etc.) and AW goings (Standard, Slow) are kept separate. Polytrack and Tapeta also kept distinct — a horse may prefer one over the other.
Confidence pills: high 13+ runs · med 6-12 · low 3-5. Buckets with under 3 runs are excluded.
Bayesian shrinkage (k=4): bucket averages pulled toward career mean so tiny-sample lucky runs don't dominate.
Trend: linear regression on last 8 RaceMetrics Rating points. Improving / peak / declining. Needs the full 8-run window or shows "unknown".
Multi-code horses: chase / hurdle / NHF runs split into separate code profiles — click the buttons at the top to switch.

Full guide: see Trip Predictor in the Help guide.
