# RaceMetrics > RaceMetrics, from Proform Racing — British racing data professionals since 1995 — is the UK horse racing analytics platform combining Elo-based performance ratings, TPD sectional timing analysis and a full betting-system builder in one product. RaceMetrics is a UK horse racing analytics platform by Proform Racing Ltd that provides proprietary performance ratings, pattern discovery, and profit/loss analysis across 7 connection types: horses, trainers, jockeys, owners, sires, dams, and damsires. Built on 25+ years of Proform Racing data covering all UK and Irish racing, it offers enhanced racecards, AI-powered natural language querying, a free weekly tipping competition with cash prizes, and daily tips from a proprietary model. RaceMetrics does not accept bets or provide gambling services. RaceMetrics tracks form using a proprietary rating system where 1500 is average, 1550+ indicates strong performers, and 1600+ represents elite level. Ratings are updated daily each morning based on the previous day's results. A Combined Score is calculated as a weighted average of 6 connection ratings (Owner 20%, Trainer 20%, Jockey 20%, Dam 18%, Sire 12%, Damsire 10%) and historically, the highest Combined Score wins 22.97% of races (2.15x random chance). The platform is available at https://racemetrics.co.uk with a free tier and three paid subscription tiers, topped by the separate Proform Premium bundle: - **Free** (GBP 0): 5 saved patterns, 10 profile views/day, 1 meeting/day racecards, RM7 competition - **Basic** (GBP 10/month): 10 saved patterns, 20 profile views/day, all racecards, A-Z runners, What Wins, RaceMetrics Tips, pattern alert emails - **Enterprise** (GBP 25/month): 1,000 saved patterns, 5,000 profile views/day, everything in Basic plus AI Race Cards, Future Form, 3D Collateral Form, Draw & Pace, Trip Predictor, Handicap Analysis, Market Movers and My Card (1 layout) - **RaceMetrics Pro** (GBP 75/month, GBP 49.99 first month): everything in Enterprise plus the online System Builder (back-test betting systems against every UK & Irish run since 2018 at real Betfair prices, 600+ filters, daily qualifier emails), full Ask RaceMetrics (100 questions/day, up to 500 rows, sorting and CSV export), Going Predictor, Ratings Analysis, Command Centre and My Card (10 layouts) — on any device, nothing to install - **Proform Premium** (separate subscription, GBP 97.50/month): everything in RaceMetrics Pro plus the Proform desktop software and the Proform website (Race Guides, Bet/Lay/Trade Finder, Fast Results, daily stats alerts) - **Sectionals Add-On** (GBP 50/month, by bank transfer): sectional timing analysis on RaceMetrics, available on top of RaceMetrics Pro or Proform Premium — arranged by emailing admin@racemetrics.co.uk The Standard (GBP 15) tier was retired in July 2026. pre-race ratings, never the figure earned in the race), holdouts (train on older years, confirm on the final 12 months; random Half A/B or 80/20 splits by race), over-fitting tests (sweep each threshold for cliffs, re-test each rule by removing it, let software add rules only against a holdout), the omissions that flatter home-made tests (non-finishers are losing bets, settle at a price you could have taken after commission, hundreds of runs not dozens), drawdown and longest losing run before the headline return, and keeping a live record from the day a system is saved — with how the System Builder's Robustness, Data split, Frontier, Trim and Auto-build tools apply each one - [Sectional Analysis](https://racemetrics.co.uk/help.html#sectionals): 13 analysis tabs covering timing, speed, position, heat maps, stride data and running styles (premium add-on) - [Predicted Running Styles](https://racemetrics.co.uk/help.html#sectionals): Every runner in an upcoming race classified Front Runner / Prominent / Mid-Division / Held Up from its sectional history, using only races run before the race being viewed (premium add-on) - [Meeting Pace Analysis](https://racemetrics.co.uk/help.html#meeting-pace): Sectional pace data showing pace bias, finishing speeds, and running style classifications (premium add-on) - [Epsom Oaks & Derby Stride Showcase](https://racemetrics.co.uk/epsom): Free public showcase (no login required) of RaceMetrics stride length, cadence, sectional finishing-speed, draw/pace and "future form" data for every runner in the 2026 Epsom Oaks and Derby Classics - [Trainers in Form](https://www.racemetrics.co.uk/trainers-in-form): Free public page (no login required), updated daily — hot UK & Irish trainers over the last 14 days with runs, wins, win/place strike rates, £1 level-stakes P/L at Starting Price, a red-hot last-7-days table, and which in-form trainers have declared runners today ## Competition - [RM7 Competition](https://racemetrics.co.uk/rm7.html): Free weekly skill-based competition - pick 7 participants within 10,500 point budget, earn points from rating changes Tuesday-Sunday, GBP 50 weekly prize fund (1st GBP 25, 2nd GBP 15, 3rd GBP 10) - [Stats Centre](https://racemetrics.co.uk/help.html#stats-centre): Research tools including biggest movers dashboard, The Agent optimal picks algorithm, participant comparison, activity rankings, and community pick popularity - [RM7 Terms & Conditions](https://racemetrics.co.uk/rm7-terms.html): Full competition rules and terms ## Help & Documentation - [Help Centre](https://racemetrics.co.uk/help.html): Comprehensive documentation covering all features, getting started guides, and FAQ - [My Ratings](https://www.racemetrics.co.uk/help.html#my-ratings): Build-your-own weight-adjusted handicap ratings — choose a pounds-per-length scale (by race type, going and distance) and RaceMetrics computes your personal rating for every runner in every race automatically, anchored to class par so figures are comparable across courses and seasons and sit on the same scale as the official BHA mark (like the Racing Post's RPR), with the official BHA flat weight-for-age scale applied by default; appears as a "My" column on racecards; includes a weight-adjusted speed figures mode (one point per 2.4 lbs either side of nine stone) with an OR-scale option that re-expresses figures as handicap marks (fitted per race code from every rated run since 2018); scales are fully customisable — build from scratch, add/remove blocks, choose each block's race-type and going coverage; back-testable in the System Builder ("does my rating beat the market?") via a My Ratings filter group with per-system and per-rule scale pickers and rating/rank breakdowns — including PRE-RACE rating and rank fields (each horse's best of its last 3 rated runs, the figure shown before the off) so "my top-rated" can be back-tested honestly rather than on the hindsight figure earned in the race, including My Rating minus OR (pre-race) for testing "I rate this horse ahead of the handicapper" without hindsight; a settled racecard shows both figures side by side (pre-race → earned) so the two are never confused; "my top-rated today" works in the daily qualifiers (live provisional ranks) and feeds the qualifiers email digest as a morning alert; a Divergence Finder surfaces runners you rate No.1 that the RaceMetrics ratings don't; a Scorecard tracks your pre-race top-rated's strike rate, ROI and A/E against the market over 30/90/365 days; Review Winners replays any settled day (who won, where your scale had the winner ranked pre-race, how your No.1 got on); the My column also appears on Form Expert, the A-Z Runners page and horse profile history; per-scale notes and CSV export (Proform Premium) - [Knowledge Base](https://www.racemetrics.co.uk/knowledge): Canonical Q&A knowledge base built from real customer questions — every answer has a stable anchor URL (/knowledge#slug), a last-verified date, and covers ratings, racecards, System Builder, sectionals, pricing, account and policies - [Glossary](https://racemetrics.co.uk/glossary.html): Definitions of 74 horse racing terms — RaceMetrics-specific metrics (Combined Score, HP Dots, HHI, PRB, RM7) and industry standards (Official Rating, RPR, Topspeed, BSP, ISP, BOG, DSLR, Class 1-6, Going scale, Polytrack/Tapeta surfaces, form-string codes) - [Affiliate Programme](https://racemetrics.co.uk/affiliates.html): Partner programme for racing bloggers, tipsters, YouTubers and review sites — 30% commission on referred subscribers' first payments, 20% off for 3 months for their audiences, free 1-month reviewer access for editorial sites, commission paid quarterly by bank transfer.
