RaceMetrics now offers detailed trainer profiles that display a trainer's current RaceMetrics Rating, headline statistics (runs, wins, strike rate), and sortable form lines for every runner they've saddled. Users can access sectional data — section times, finishing speed, positions gained or lost, and top speed — with a Proform Premium subscription and the Sectionals Add-on.
How to find and use a trainer profile
Start from your dashboard and select Trainers. The board displays trainers sorted by RaceMetrics Rating. A score of 1,500 is average; 1,550 and above is consistently above average; 1,600 and above is elite. Four controls shape the board: Search filters by name, Activity narrows to trainers with runners in the last 30 or 90 days, Min Races screens out small samples, and Type splits the board into Flat or Jumps.
The Biggest Movers section shows which trainers are gaining or losing form. Select a time window from seven days to 90 days to compare each trainer's current rating against their previous rating. In Form shows the biggest risers; Out of Form shows the steepest fallers.
Reading the profile
Click a trainer's name to open their profile page. The Overview tab shows their RaceMetrics Rating, runs, wins and strike rate. Click the Runs card to view form lines — each row is one of their horses on a specific day, with date, speed rating, pace, draw, distance, going, weight, official rating, result and starting price. Sort any column to spot patterns.
The Breakdown tab splits the record by going, class, distance, course and field size. Every row shows runs, wins, strike rate, percentage of rivals beaten, profit and loss, and return on investment. The By Horse breakdown allows you to pull form lines for a single runner under that trainer.
Saving angles
When you identify an angle worth following, click the green save icon to store it as a Pattern. RaceMetrics then watches upcoming racecards and alerts you when a runner matches your saved criteria. All saved patterns are managed in the Pattern Manager.
The same profile structure is available for horses, jockeys, sires and owners.
