Sectional Tab — Finishing Speed % Difference in Form Book

The Finishing Speed % Difference tab is available within the Sectionals tab when viewing a race in the RaceMetrics Proform Form Book.

What it shows

The tab displays the difference between a horse's Finishing Speed % and the ground-adjusted Par Finishing Speed % for that race. A positive value indicates performance better than par. The final furlong (finish) appears on the left of the grid.

Reading the pars

The Finishing Speed % values shown in braces in the heading bar for each section represent the ground-adjusted par Finishing Speed % for the race.

Colour coding

The grid uses colour coding to show performance relative to par. Green shading indicates a Finishing Speed % better than par; red shading indicates worse than par. The depth of colour reflects the magnitude of the difference, with tolerance levels set by race distance.
