The Sectionals toggle is now live in horse form lines on the RaceMetrics racecard. A purple pill labelled "Sectionals" in the Race column header swaps the right-hand form columns — distance, going, weight, official rating — for the sectional read of every past run.
How to use it
Click the purple Sectionals pill to toggle between standard form columns and sectional data. The choice persists as you move from horse to horse on the card.
What you see
- Race Pace: A colour bar showing how each furlong compared to par — green for faster, red for slower. Hover for the full breakdown.
- Style: The running-style label for that run.
- Pos Track: How the horse moved through the field, with a plus-minus showing net positions gained or lost from start to finish.
- Adjusted Position: How many places the horse should have finished higher or lower had it run efficiently.
- Max Upgrade: The pounds the horse could have improved by over the final four furlongs.
- Finishing Speed: Run-by-run data at two furlongs out, one out, and the line, showing where the horse was quickening or stopping against par.
The adjusted-position and Max Upgrade columns flag horses worth following — a string of strong figures behind a modest record suggests a well-handicapped horse about to win.
