The Pattern Manager is where you store and manage every angle you've identified on the RaceMetrics platform. Whether you've spotted a trainer flying at one course, a sire suited to certain conditions, or a jockey who peaks in big races, you save them here as patterns — and the tool keeps them organised, tracks their performance, and alerts you when they surface in future racecards.

What You Can Track

Any angle works: horses, trainers, jockeys, sires, and more. Each pattern collects data from the day you save it, building a record of runs, wins, strike rate, profit or loss, and return on investment (ROI). The display is colour-coded — green for profit, red for a loss — so you can see at a glance which angles are paying their way.

Managing Your Patterns

Four summary cards show your collection at a glance: total patterns saved, how many are active, your average ROI across all patterns, and how many different types of angle you're tracking.

Each pattern card displays the conditions that define it and the stats since you saved it. Use the toggle to switch a pattern on or off — turning it off stops it matching on racecards, but keeps it safe for later. Delete removes it permanently when you're done.

As your list grows, you can filter by type (sires, jockeys, trainers, and so on) or by status (active patterns only), and sort by newest, best ROI, most runs, or alphabetically.

Your Patterns at Work

Once a pattern is active, it monitors the racecards for you. Matching runners wear a purple pattern badge on any racecard. In the A–Z list (all runners declared for the day), a banner shows how many of your angles have come up, and you can view all matches flagged and sorted to the top.

Every evening, an email lands with your pattern matches for the next day's racing — no need to log in to check.

Backup and Import

Export your entire pattern collection to a file for backup or to share. Import brings them straight back into your account whenever you need them.
