RaceMetrics 7 is a free weekly horse-racing competition with real cash prizes. You pick seven racing participants and score points based on how their RaceMetrics Ratings move over the week. The team with the biggest rating gains wins.
Each competition runs Tuesday to Sunday. Entries close before the first race on Tuesday, and results are finalised on Monday morning.
How to build your entry
You have a budget of 10,500 points to build your team of seven. Each participant costs its current RaceMetrics Rating. Your seven picks can be any mix of types: horses, trainers, jockeys, sires, dams, damsires and owners.
Go to the Enter tab and choose a participant type from the dropdown. Search by name, and each result shows its rating — that's the cost. Add it to your team and watch the budget tracker. Your remaining points tick down as you build.
Use filters to find value. Set a rating range to stay affordable, or filter for 'has upcoming entries' to find participants actually running this week.
The fairness rule
You cannot pick a horse and any of its own connections — its trainer, sire, dam, damsire or owner. Mix types freely otherwise.
Submit and compete
Once your seven selections are locked in under budget, click Submit Entry. Selections are final, and you can enter one team per person each week.
The live leaderboard updates after each day's racing. Finish in the top three to win cash prizes: £25, £15 and £10.
