Why Track Owners?
Owners are often overlooked in form analysis, yet ownership patterns can be revealing. Some owners target specific race types. Some have strong records at certain courses. A few consistently place horses in conditions where they hold an edge.
RaceMetrics assigns every owner a dynamic rating based on the performance of their runners, making these patterns visible and measurable.
Accessing Owner Profiles
Click any owner name in a racecard, horse profile, or search result. Owner profiles follow the same structure as other participant types: overview with rating chart, results listing, and detailed breakdowns.
Overview and Rating
The overview shows the owner's current RaceMetrics Rating and its trajectory. Owners with rising ratings are having runners that outperform expectations. The rating chart plots this trend over time.
Breakdowns
Going breakdowns show whether an owner's runners do better on particular ground. Course breakdowns reveal favoured tracks. Class breakdowns show the level at which the operation is most successful.
These breakdowns often reflect the owner's choice of trainer and the type of horse they buy. An owner who consistently places horses in the right races will show up with strong profitability in specific conditions.
Patterns and Alerts
Save profitable angles as patterns. If an owner has a strong record in Flat handicaps at Newmarket on Good ground, save that pattern. When a matching runner appears in a future racecard, RaceMetrics highlights it for you.
Combining with Other Profiles
Owner data works best alongside trainer and jockey profiles. A strong owner-trainer combination with a rising rating is a useful signal, particularly for unexposed horses where the form record is thin.
