Inline Form Lines: View Race History Without Leaving the Racecard

RaceMetrics' Inline Form Lines feature lets you expand a horse's recent form directly on the racecard — no need to navigate away or open separate windows. The form appears instantly below the horse row, giving you quick access to the data you need to make informed selections.

How to Use Inline Form Lines

The feature works across all three racecard views: Ratings, At-a-Glance, and Form Expert. The access method varies slightly depending on which tab you're using.

On Ratings and At-a-Glance Tabs

Click any horse row to expand their last 6 form lines directly below. The six most recent runs appear by default, giving you a quick overview without clutter. To see the complete race history, click "Show all X form lines" to reveal every entry on record.

Click the same horse row again to collapse the form. Opening a different horse automatically closes any previously expanded row, keeping your racecard view clean and focused.

On the Form Expert Tab

Each column in Form Expert displays breakdown statistics: Runs, Wins, and Win Percentage. Click any stat cell to filter and display matching form lines. For example, click a Going cell to see only races run on that going; click a Course cell to see only races at that venue.

The form lines displayed are server-filtered to match your selection exactly, respecting any active filters already set (Going, Class, Distance, Field, Race Type, Handicap, Period). A header above the form lines confirms the applied filter.

Colour-Coded Relevance

Form lines highlight data matching today's race conditions in green. If a horse ran at today's course previously, the course name appears in green. The same applies to class, going, and distance — instant visual confirmation of relevant historical form.

This colour coding eliminates the need to mentally cross-reference conditions, letting you spot pattern-matching form at a glance.
