Significant Overnight Price Contractions Across 10 May Racing
A total of 68 horses showed shortened odds from evening to morning on 10 May 2026, with the most dramatic movements concentrated in two races at Ludlow.
Radnor Hills Water Mares' Novices' Hurdle leads the field
The Radnor Hills Water Mares' Novices' Hurdle (14:17, Ludlow) produced four of the top five price contractions across the day. Bits Ballou shortened from 67 to 17 (74.6% contraction), whilst Silvereen contracted from 7.5 to 1.91 (74.5% contraction). Peace Of Amaron moved from 34 to 12 (64.7% contraction), and Enya went from 6.5 to 2.38 (63.4% contraction).
The scale of these moves suggests substantial support during the morning period before the 14:17 off-time.
Secondary movers across the card
Jay Pee M in the Farm And Industrial Spares Mallow Handicap Hurdle (Cork, 15:15) shortened from 13 to 5.5 (57.7% contraction). At Leopardstown, Ben Lawers contracted from 21 to 9 (57.1%) in the Leopardstown Golf, Padel, Range Handicap.
Sunset Boulevard shortened from 15 to 6.5 (56.7%) in the Radnor Hills Splash Handicap Chase at Ludlow. Cosmic Funk and Halon Bay, both in the FITZ AGRIPLANT Maiden at Leopardstown, moved 54.8% and 52.2% respectively.
Mid-range contractions
A further group shortened between 35% and 50%, including Nazare (4 to 2, 50%), Empire Walk (11 to 5.5, 50%), Dame In Disguise (101 to 51, 49.5%), and Arouet (5.5 to 2.88, 47.6%). Valentino Eclipse moved 45.5%, whilst longer-priced runners Granlahan and Seek A Richer Life each contracted 35.7% from 126 to 81.
The data reflects typical patterns of morning support across jumps racing, with stronger contractions evident amongst races scheduled earlier in the day.
