Damsire and Sire Stats for Races with a Lack of Form
The Proform Race Guides now include RaceMetrics Ratings for sires and damsires, extending analysis beyond individual horse records in maiden and novice races where form data is sparse.
What's New
Maiden and novice races present a challenge: runners often lack meaningful race history. The Proform Race Guides address this by incorporating sire and damsire statistics alongside traditional course, distance and going preferences.
How It Works
For each race, you can review RaceMetrics Ratings for the sires and damsires represented in the field. This genetic angle provides additional context when assessing horses with limited or no form.
- Identify which sires and damsires have strong records in the race conditions
- Cross-reference individual horse pedigrees against these statistics
- Build a more complete picture of potential in first-time runners and lightly raced types
The integration sits within the existing Proform Race Guide structure, so sire and damsire data works alongside the course, distance and going analysis you already use.
