RaceMetrics has added a Compare function to its 3D race replays. The feature displays two races simultaneously on a single set of controls, allowing you to sync them by time or by furlongs from home.
To use Compare, open any 3D replay and select the Compare button. Choose a second race to view alongside it. Both fields will play in sync from the start, or you can drag the master control bar to any point in the races and press play to see them unfold together from that moment.
How it works in practice
The Oaks and Derby, run at the same course one day apart, illustrate the feature's utility. Thundering On won the Oaks in two minutes thirty-nine seconds on Good ground. Christmas Day won the Derby the following day on Soft ground, requiring four seconds more to complete the same trip. Lining both fields up at the same distance from home shows the difference directly — the Derby field needs roughly four seconds longer to cover the same ground.

Compare is available to Proform Premium members with the Sectionals add-on. The Compare button appears in every 3D replay.
